The milestone event brought together key partners and construction workers on Thursday, May 16 in the Art Nouveau building. Brisen Group, in collaboration with Mandarin Oriental, celebrated the topping off of the future Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Residences in Vienna. Following a EUR 250 million restoration, the development will feature 25 luxury branded residences and 138 guest rooms, opening in Summer 2025.
Over 300 guests attended the reception, which included an introduction to the project, champagne, culinary delights, and a thank-you to the construction workers. Remarks were made by Dimitry Vallen, founder of Brisen Group, Dominik G. Reiner, General Manager at Mandarin Oriental, and Martin Goddard, the interior designer. The ceremony concluded with a pine tree lifted to the roof, symbolizing progress.
Dimitry Vallen expressed delight in celebrating the milestone, emphasizing the project’s quality and comfort while preserving the historic features. Dominik G. Reiner highlighted the luxury experience and the unique lifestyle offered by the new property. Martin Goddard aimed to create a beautiful, functional home, honoring the building’s heritage with unique craftsmanship and bespoke furniture.
The 25 residences will offer city views and interiors by Goddard Littlefair. Hagenauer Construction Company ensures the design aligns with the building’s heritage. The top two floors will have 11 duplex penthouses, featuring rooftop gardens, outdoor kitchens, Jacuzzis, and private access. Additionally, there are 14 classic residences with one or two bedrooms.
Residence owners will enjoy luxury amenities and services, including a 24-hour concierge, valet, maintenance, housekeeping, and security. Exclusive amenities include a grand salon, private library, meeting space, and in-residence dining services.
